Play-Doh Play

We have discovered the joy of Play-Doh around here. We have been playing with it for a couple of years but my kids have just now fallen in love. Play-Doh has become a daily request.

We invent new things to make daily. This week we have made the Eiffel Tower, Lightning McQueen, Easter Baskets filled with tiny eggs, and many other things.

My kids also love cutting out shapes with cookie cutters and pressing the dough into anything we can find to make patterns and designs.

Play-Doh has been around since the 50's and has not lost any of its charm. The color choices have grown considerably and this week we even found silver with a bit of sparkle. At less than $2 for a package of 4 jars it is the best deal around for hours and hours and hours of fun.

Rock Inspiration

My kids like to play with a bowl of rocks at my Mom's house. I was watching them stack them and line them up and organize them. What amazing beauty in four simple things:

Rocks
Glass Bowl
Wool Rug
Chenille Throw

I hope to do some paintings from these photos in the future. A series of rock paintings about texture and color and shape and form.
