Our Summer Jar Adventures

I posted about our summer jar a while back. I will admit that we haven't drawn an activity out everyday because some days we already had things on the calendar and some days we just stayed in our pjs all day and were lazy because that is the beautiful thing about summer! But all in all, we have loved getting to pick out little slips of paper with surprises on them. Here are some of our favorite summer jar activities in photos:

Pez Art
Finally thought of a way to use the hundreds of Pez packs we have lying around

Sharpie Tie Dye T Shirts
Found this on Pinterest, here is the link for the instructions

A Day of Board Games and Card Games

Cut Celery Prints
This made really great wrapping paper!

Flip Burger Dinner
to get the best Milk Shakes in the City.

Shrinky Dink Bracelets
I found this brilliant idea On Alisa Burke's blog here

A Whole Day of Legos
I really don't know how this is different than any other summer day of ours!

Learning Origami

Writing Our Own Book and Illustrating It
Doc McStuffins Meets Star Wars

Blueberry Patch Adventures

We only have one month left of summer and too many more ideas to fill those days. All of us at our house are wishing summertime was longer and not so hot!

Matching MOMA

While walking around the Museum of Modern art this week in NYC, I saw this woman standing in front of this painting. I couldn't believe the lines of her skirt and the red of her bag in front of the artwork. It looked like she had dressed to match the painting. After commenting to my mom about this, we starting noticing more and more people standing in front of artwork they looked like. We had so much fun finding people matching MOMA. Here are my shots.
