A while back my mom and I both read an article (I think it was in Real Simple) about this book that these kids created for their mom. Every year on Mother's Day they added to the book and that was their gift to her. The photos of the kids pages were amazing, creative, filled with color and love and care. We both thought it was the greatest present we'd ever seen. Well, this year we all got wonderful surprises all inspired by that article.
Brandon did a great job remembering my mentioning the article and made me a 3 ring binder with pockets for all my Mother's Day "papers" each year. He included a wonderful list of questions he asked the kids about me and their answers as well as his own answers. Every year I can fill the pockets with the kids cards, and mother's day art projects from school.
My mom gave me a beautiful book in which she had my kids both draw a picture of me with many pages for them to continue the tradition every year.
And finally, my kids and I made my mom a book of collaged boards. These board books are in the dollar bins at Michaels craft stores and make great gifts. We decorated ours with markers, stamps, bingo dot markers, and more.
Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful moms out there!
